Ålands Radio och TV Ab (ÅRTV) produces public service broadcasting for Åland and distributes over-the-air public service radio and television from Finland and Sweden. The company was established on May 1, 1996, as a limited company owned by the Government of Åland. The company took over operations previously conducted in Åland by the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle). Today, the company broadcasts locally produced radio from 06:30 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 to 18:00 on weekends. Digitally, ÅRTV also publishes content on the website alandsradio.ax and via the ÅRTV Play app.
