About this outlet

Overview

Intermedia is the journal of the IIC. It is concerned with emerging policy issues in broadcasting, telecommunications and new media. It features contributions from commercial companies, lawyers, regulators, academics and specialist journalists. Most professional publications are narrow-focus. Intermedia, by contrast, ranges far and wide over the whole spectrum of telecommunications, broadcasting and the new convergent industries, with one additional objective in mind: to illuminate convergence, of content, of technology, of ownership, of geography, by analysing and anticipating the migration and mutation of principles, practices and profit-potential between previously separate sectors. Thus Intermedia covers subjects as apparently diverse as: mobile telecoms and violence on TV. regulation in the 21st century and communications development in emerging economies. Internet law and pay-per view. Intermedia’s perspective is international. Its authors are drawn from all parts of the globe. It is a key information resource for anyone caught up by the dynamics of the digital revolution. Intermedia is published up to six times per year and is part of the package available to members of the IIC.
